Cloth on spine and corners covered with plain paper over boards with printed spine label, 351 pages, illustrated with all nine plates plus frontispiece. Covers soiled and worn, hinges cracked, pages 49/50 is ripped in half horizontally, both pieces still bound in the book, notes on blank end papers and lightly scattered throughout text, scattered foxing/staining. This book has "ABM" written in pencil on frontispiece, comes from the library of Amy Bess Miller, author on all matters Shaker and founder of the Hancock Shaker Museum.
