Engraved title and fifty eight hand coloured engraved plates, each plate with leaf of descriptive letterpress, except for Luxborough House, where one description answers both views, in contemporary half dark brown calf over marbled boards, neatly re-backed, with original spine laid down, small wormhole in the lower gutter of the first twenty plates, not affecting images or text, short tear neatly repaired to leaf of descriptive text for Strawberry Hill plate, just affecting a couple of letters, a few additional minor marginal tears or paper flaw to text leaves, book label to fpd (John Evan Bedford). Plates dated 1795 & 96, text leaves watermarked 1794. Overall, an excellent copy of this scarce colour plate book. (Oblong octavo, 117*195 mm). (NCBEL II, col 1311.
