This volume was previously owned by Lieutenant Commander Andrew David of the Royal Navy. David was a prominent hydrographic specialist who served with the Hakluyt Society and the Society for Nautical Research. David's bookplate is on the front paste down. Another previous owner is believed to be author Henry Denham (1897 - 1993). There is an inscription on the front free end paper, "To Henry Denham with great gratitude for the help and pleasure his books have given me.". …
