Print on Demand. This book details the invention of a new truss, an instrument used to alleviate discomfort and danger from reducible ruptures, and the development of new methods for using calico cushions to protect the spermatic cords from injury. The author himself a rupture sufferer for over twenty years provides a plain-spoken guide for understanding how to reduce a rupture and describes the improvements he has made to truss design over many years of trial and error. He also offers general advice for the ruptured and includes medical opinions to emphasize the seriousness of rupture and to debunk the false promises of charlatans. This book is insightful, clearly written, and grounded in the author's own experience. It is also a timely reminder of the pain and suffering that ruptures cause, and the importance of effective treatment. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …
