Item description from seller

119pp, 21 different conversions described and illustrated. 24x18, cloth, illustrated dw. Foxing on end papers, dw rather tatty, fair to good to thus. Guide to finding buildings (and the occasional barge) and converting them for new residential use. Industrial and agricultural buildings, and mews and coach houses in the cities are all covered. Quite a lot of technical information and advice, and the cautionary tale of an unfortunate Wing-Commander whose desire to acquire a cheap Suffolk cottage ended up with threats of legal action from the local authority and paying twice over after being outwitted by the widow he acquired the building from.
