Double column. 8vo, full calf, with gilt titles to a black label and gilt letter black volume blocks to spine. Giuseppe Marco Antonio Baretti(b. April 24, 1719, Turin; d. May 5, 1789, London), was an Italian linguist and scholar, who, apart from his work on this Spanish-English dictionary, also co-authored a similar Italian project, as well as other literary and travel treatises. Henry Neuman was the author of "A Marine Pocket-Dictionary" (published in 1799), while also translating Duke de la Rochefoucauld's "Travels in the United States of North America [.] with an authentic account of Lower Canada, 1795, 1796, 1797" (1799).   Condition Report Externally Spine poor condition gilt titles to black labels (chipped), dry and worn with loss to top and base. Joints poor condition split to three of the boards and hanging on by the chords, fourth cracking. Corners fair condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition nice patina. Page edges good condition.
