Keera Miles is an assistant professor with a secret: she’s a medium guided by an ancient spirit. Zach Bones is an investigative reporter who thought he could outsmart the criminal underworld. Together, they’re sitting on a massive, stolen fortune—and the brutal Chicago Russian mob wants every cent.
When a extortion plot turns deadly and a hit squad moves in, Keera and Zach flee into hiding. But their ruthless enemy doesn't just want the cash; he wants a million-dollar weekly tribute, forcing Zach into an impossible corner while Keera uses her visions to search the astral plane for a way out.
From cold-blooded execution-style pasts to deadly street-level chases, the clock is ticking down. Can a reluctant psychic and a bruised reporter outwit the mob before they become another unsolved case?
Amazon customer reactions: "The twisted and brutal tale of Zach and his psychic girlfriend Keera which is exhilarating, exciting, and most entertaining, continues in this book by Parker Rimes as they attempt to stay alive while staying one step ahead of the Russian mob in Chicago." "It was outside the genres I have been reading lately and a great change. It is a gritty, hard-hitting book with a likable protagonist and girlfriend who is a little psychic."
