Lastly, the Editors regret, from partien ar circumstances, they are not per mitted to return publicly their thanks to many Spanish and other gentlemen, who have generously assisted their researches, either by the loan of books, or by written communications. To James Edwards, Esq. Of Binstead, Isle of Wight, they are however hap y in having this opportunity of making their grateful acknowledgments for the very handsome manner in which he favoured them with some valuable books from his well-chosen library, and which they oelieve to be only a small testimony of his friendship to literature, and of his seal for the diffusion of usefulknowledge.
