"It was Dutchmen who founded New York and Djakarta, it was Dutchmen who discovered Tasmania, hunted whale off the coast of Greenland or wintered on Novaya Zemlya. Dutchmen lent money to the new-born United States of America in order to have free and profitable access to the country, captured enemy ships and fought for freedom. In the meantime they were busy creating their own country." Blue boards with silver dyke image on front, 199 pp., 154 color and b&w photo illustrations. Minimal shelf wear. Brief gift note. Text is very clean with a secure binding. The jacket has a curl on the top edge of the rear panel and the lamination is just starting to wrinkle.
