Tompkins County, Upstate New York. Someone, something, is hunting the Nephilim, the halfling children of angels and humans. The predator known as the Afterburner is leaving clues, wanting to be pursued.
The Afterburner’s next target: 17-year-old Johnny Drake. But being top of a serial killer’s hit list is just the newest addition to his growing list of problems. Johnny’s quest to uncover the Afterburner’s identity lures others too: a beautiful, scarred girl who flies, a woman who witnessed the angels’ last descent, and a rogue angel who may be friend or enemy.
As forces, both human and angelic, descend and threaten to break apart sleepy Ithaca, Johnny realizes that only he can stop the killer. His one chance lies in embracing his true nature and seeking help from unlikely allies. Even then, it may not be enough to stop his adversary, who is old, cunning and possesses powers he can only dream of.
Survive. Unburned.
NEPHILIM is a fast-paced, coming of age urban fantasy novel that follows Johnny's thrilling and dangerous journey as he learns his true nature and uses his new found power to stop a cunning, ethereal predator. Steeped in verisimilitude, NEPHILIM takes readers through the exotic plains of Cambodia, where an ancient myth has been brought to life, to the majestic mountains and splendid lakes of Upstate New York, where the echoes of a strange biblical legend reverberate in the lives of all-too real characters.
