English summary: Neo-classicism is often misunderstood as a cold, pedantic, even bombastic artistic movement. The present volume seeks to rehabilitate Neo-classicism, explaining its esthetic, philosophical, and political implications, through the example of both famous and little-known artists from across Europe.
