He's a nightmare. She's a disaster. And they're stuck next door to each other.
Riya Sharma has a PhD in chaos. Her apartment is a disaster zone, her love life is a dumpster fire, and her career as a freelance illustrator is hanging by a thread. The only thing keeping her sane is her quirky neighbor, Mrs. Patel, who brings her samosas and listens to her rants.
Enter Aryan Mehta. Aryan is a successful architect with a perfect apartment, a perfect wardrobe, and a perfectly irritating habit of alphabetizing his spice rack. He's also Mrs. Patel's nephew-and he's just moved in next door.
Riya and Aryan clash immediately. She thinks he's a stuck-up control freak. He thinks she's a chaotic menace. Their feud escalates from passive-aggressive notes to full-blown warfare, involving stolen mail, sabotaged deliveries, and a very dramatic incident with a garden hose.
But when Mrs. Patel falls ill, Riya and Aryan are forced to work together to care for her. As they spend more time together, they begin to see past each other's flaws. Riya discovers that Aryan's rigidity is a shield for a painful past. Aryan discovers that Riya's chaos is a cover for a brilliant, creative mind.
As their animosity transforms into something else entirely, they must decide: is it worth risking everything for a love that started as a nightmare?
Perfect for fans of enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, and neighbors who drive each other crazy-until they can't live without each other!
Arup Ghosh writes contemporary romantic comedies featuring chaotic heroines, grumpy-but-soft heroes, and the kind of laugh-out-loud mishaps that make you forget your own bad day. When not writing, Arup is either drinking far too much coffee, binge-watching reality TV for "research," or rearranging their bookshelf by color. Arup lives with their family and a very judgmental cat.
My Neighbor Is a Nightmare is Arup Ghosh's fourth novel.
