Octavo. 29pp. [2]. Illustrated multicolored paper boards with red and black lettering on the front cover. This delightfully illustrated children's book tells the story of Bobby Coon and his fellow animal friends in the forest. The book was written by American conservationist and children's author Thornton Waldo Burgess (1874-1965), and continues his series of stories about animals, in line with his interests in the natural world. The work continues Burgess's long and prolific collaboration with illustrator Harrison Candy (1877â "1970). Binding with slightly shaky, with some light rubbing and bumping to extremities. Interior with an inscription to the previous owner in pen at the top of the interior front cover. Binding in good+, interior in very good condition overall. Protected by modern mylar.
