Hardback octavo, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good dustjacket), minor edgewear jacket (light foxing reverse side, minor creasing bottom corners flaps), faint foxing edges. 325 pp. This original and penetrating book by Mark Walker unravels myths and controversies surrounding Hitler's atomic bomb project. It provides a most comprehensive and thoughtful look at what surprisingly turned out to be an Achilles' heel for Hitler - the misuse of science and scientists in the service of the Third Reich.
