This Liber Amicorum celebrates the distinguished career of Professor Ulla Liukkunen, a renowned scholar in labour law, private international law, and comparative law. Her work has placed social justice at the heart of legal inquiry, engaging with pressing global challenges—In the field of contemporary labour law, the notion of decent work has become a key means of framing social justice. However, as illustrated by the contributions of this book the issue of social justice extends to all legal disciplines. Contributors to this volume are esteemed colleagues and friends of Professor Liukkunen. Each chapter reflects its author’s own area of expertise and scholarly collaboration with Professor Liukkunen, creating a rich and unique tapestry of legal thought that spans jurisdictions, disciplines, and perspectives. This volume is designed for academics and researchers in law, practicing lawyers, policy-makers and influencers in NGOs, government bodies, and global institutions.
