Item description from seller

A detailed and comprehensive collection of nautical tables sanctioned for use in the Royal Navy. 1945 reprint of the original first published in 1821. A detailed collection of nautical tables designed for the use of British seamen. Originally by Rev James Inman it was adapted and re-edited in 1910 by William Hall to meet modern needs. Charts have been updated but it largely sticks to the original. When reprinted additional information was added. This became an important navigational text and was used throughout the First and Second World War. Bound in a full calf binding. Externally generally smart. Rubbing to the spine and boards resulting in loss. Prior owner's ink inscription to the foredge. Internally firmly bound. Prior owners name written on the front free endpaper. Ink annotation marks throughout. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot. Good.
