About this title:

Synopsis: The "Natural" Trim is the most complete manual for achieving natural feet in the history of the horse industry. You will learn how and why you must establish "Natural" feet.

About the Author: Lyle Bergeleen, or Bergy as everone calls him, is a progressive minded horsshoer who has been practicing his craft since 1969. His working knowledge and observational research combined with in-depth studies of equine locomotion and hoof pathology led him on a journey of discovery.

Bergy wanted to know what a "natural hoof" looked like. He found that out of all the free range horses, those traveling on hilly, rugged terrain over rocks to water had extraordinarily healthy feet on a consistent, predictable basis. Just as importantly, they moved free and comfortably in their gaits even over hard ground. These horses naturally wore down their heels and rounded off their toes while traveling without shoes.

Bergy spent many years in the development and perfection of a technique for trimming a horse's hoof to resemble those he saw. Discovering that every horse carries the measuring stick for a natural trim was the breakthrough that sets him apart.
