Publisher s original forest green cloth with spine lettered in gilt and with gilt panel lines at the top and bottom of the spine, the front and rear cloth-covered boards have blind-stamped vertical lines at the top, dark green endpapers, 8vo. This volume combines "Natural Selection" first published in 1870 with "Tropical Nature" first published in 1878 into a new edition with corrections first published in 1891. The front facing endpapers display two bookplates -- Richmond College, Surrey (and) Library of the Wesleyan Theological Institution, Richmond, Surrey. The spine has three small vertical gold lines at the base; there are no other library marks and few signs of use (see photos online or email for photos). This volume is only mildly ex-library with light edgewear to cloth in very good condition.
