A scarce edition of The Natural History of Selborne, particularly attuned towards naturalists and scientists, arranged by species, with a folding frontispiece. The scarce Naturalist's Edition of The Natural History of Selborne, the Parson-Naturalist's seminal work, classified and re-arranged by Charles Mosley. Published in 1905, first published in 1789.In the publisher's original green cloth, with a folding frontispiece of a facsimile of the original frontispiece.Being loved for his lovely descriptions of nature, White's astute observations left behind a keen legacy for biologists and it remains a very insightful work. This edition is structured more for the assistance of naturalists and biologists, with the sequence organised by the different species and classifications mentioned by White, rather than chronologically or by his letters. In the publisher's original green cloth. Externally, smart, with minor signs of browning to the front board, and minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. Black end papers are clean. Internally, firmly bound, with slight signs of wear between pp.64-65 and pp.128-129. Pages are bright and clean, with minor age toning and the rare spot. Very Good.…
