96 pages, Octavo, wood-engraved illustrations by Claire Oldham. Bound by BAYNTUN RIVIERE in three quarter crushed green morocco, spine gilt with raised bands. A fine copy charmingly illustrated by Oldham who the niece of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A self-taught print maker influenced by Claire Leighton's book on wood-engravings. Oldham is known for illustrating an award winning Children's book.
