Neuware - During the 1800s, tens of thousands of American Indians were removed or forced from their lands by the American government. Several tribes and cultural strengths were washed away. Fortunately, Native America peoples still exist today, though they are still a disenfranchised culture. This essential volume explores issues related to Native Americans, including key conflicts that still exist between the United States and tribal governments. Topics covered include the impact of discrimination on Native American culture, the current economic factors of concern to Native Americans, and how disputes over natural resources and cultural artifacts affect Native Americans.
