Print on Demand. This book chronicles the inception, growth, and impact of one of the most significant developments in the blindness field over the last five years, the National Association for Parents of the Visually Impaired (NAPVI). It details how, for the first time, parents of visually impaired children have access to support, information, and services from other parents, regardless of their child's visual acuity or age. The book asserts that this type of parental involvement has contributed significantly to not only supporting parents and families but also to the broader efforts to improve services and resources for blind and visually impaired individuals. Ending with an exploration of the organization's future goals, strengths, and ambitions, the book captures the essence of a movement that ensures no parent will ever again face the challenges of raising a visually impaired child completely alone. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
