Item description from seller

A chronicle of the British Armies missteps in not trusting the local African leadership which proved costly during the Boer War. New trade softcover in printed wraps. Contains a bibliography, glossary and index. 432 pp. Fast shipping in a secure book box mailer with tracking. When the Siege of Ladysmith was finally raised, the relieving force found the garrison and civilian population suffering from malnutrition and disease. This book uses primary source material to chronicle the experiences of the people of Natal - soldiers and civilians, black and white, men, women and children - during the Natal Campaign.…
