A very scarce work.Rebound in a half cloth binding, with the endpapers renewed.A work by John Henry Cooke, of the 43rd Regiment of Light Infantry.The work provides an autobiographical account of the Battle of New Orleans, between theBritish Army under Major General SirEdward Pakenham and the United States Army under Brevet Major General Andrew Jackson, as well as events in the South of France. Rebound in a half cloth binding, with the endpapers renewed.Externally, very smart. Slight fading to spine, with light shelf wear to extremities. Fading to board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with light age toning and the odd spot, most significant to the front and rear. Very Good Indeed.
