Paperback. A racy, historical, romance novel about a free-spirited, red-haired Scottish firecracker and a handsome Cherokee Warrior caught up in the most shameful era in American history. Based on the authors' great-great grandparents, the novel exposes a medley of half-truths in the historical record regarding Andrew Jackson and the Cherokee he betrayed. After Cherokee and Friendly Creek Warriors keep Jackson and Sam Houston from getting their butts kicked by the Redsticks at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend, and the Choctaw help fight the Battle of New Orleans, Jackson, as President of the United States. signs the Indian Removal Act ordering thousands of Cherokee locked up in roofless, rat-infested, disease-ridden stockades and driven like cattle a thousand miles west on what became known as the Trail of Tears. Many died. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
