Publication Date: 1971
Binding: Hard Cover
Book Condition: Very Good
Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good
Edition: Stated First Edition.
Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Stated First Edition. 6 x 9". Purple cloth with titles in gilt on spine, fuschia endpapers. Jacket is black and white with titles in purple and black, illustrated with a sexy-looking apple and a serpent wearing a chef's hat. Spine ends crimped, some discoloration to edges, else fine; interior clean and tight. Jacket has general edgewear, some wrinkling to head of spine but intact with intact price, good color and gloss. Billie Young, who wrote Naked Came the Stranger under the nom de plume Penelope Ashe, has "strip[ped] off her disguise and reveal[ed] herself as The Naked Chef[.] She takes you on a cook's tour of the erotic zone. . . The recipes are sectioned according to Before or After Seduction and are heightened by tales of debauchery as practiced by ancients and moderns." (The Seventies were quaint, weren't they?) Steaminess aside, this cookbook contains the usual suspects: meat and poultry, seafood, soups, fireplace cooking, etc., plus food for the hangover and a section called "erotomania." 278 pages, index, illustrated with B&W photos and drawings that are not X-rated. (Sorry!) A scarce item, which is perhaps a good thing. Size: 6 x 9". Bookseller Inventory # 001569
