Signed copy. This delightful book, written by an American academic for American children, explains in the simplest terms the distinction between the plant and animal kingdoms, and the various classifications within the latter of these. Young readers will gain an increased understanding of the relationship of living things, including themselves, in 'a world where there is a special place for everyone and everything'. Written in 1967, this could perhaps be seen as an early example of education with an 'ecological' or 'green' message. Copyright © Golden Gate Junior Books.
