Revised and Updated Edition for Modern Digital Nursing Practice
Designed for Nursing Students, Registered Nurses, Nurse Educators, Clinical Instructors, Healthcare Learners, and Professionals Seeking a Clearer Understanding of Nursing Informatics and Digital Health
Nursing practice is now deeply connected to technology, data, electronic records, telehealth, clinical decision support, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Modern nurses must do more than provide care at the bedside. They must understand how digital systems affect documentation, communication, patient safety, privacy, evidence-based practice, and healthcare quality.
Nursing Informatics and Digital Health for Modern Nursing Practice is designed to give readers a clear, practical, and professionally structured guide to the digital side of nursing care. This is not just a book about computers in healthcare. It is a learning resource that explains how nurses use information, technology, data, and clinical judgment to support safer and more effective patient care.
Too many informatics books are either too technical, too scattered, or too disconnected from real nursing practice. This book is different. It connects digital health concepts with everyday nursing responsibilities, helping readers understand electronic health records, documentation quality, clinical alerts, telehealth, data literacy, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and nursing leadership in a clear and useful way.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Clear frameworks for understanding nursing informatics and digital health
- Practical guidance on EHRs, documentation, data quality, and clinical decision support
- Strong focus on patient safety, privacy, cybersecurity, and ethical technology use
