Bound in clean light brown cloth with clear gilt titles to front board and spine, this dated 1903 First Thus Edition is VG. Originally printed in 1877 for private circulation, this is the first edition for general circulation, under the Editorship of R.C. Seaton, M.A. X11/218pp+folding map of the field of Waterloo. With portrait frontis of the author, with tissue guard, Introduction, Preface, 12 Chapters and ten additional illustrations. Light foxing to part of final chapter, map at end slightly creased at bottom edge; otherwise all VG.
