The front cover and spine are starting to detach from the textblock. Library stamps on a few inner pages and a few closed tears to some page margins. Text clean; binding secure for normal handling. A reading copy only. Volume 137 of THE NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW, the first literary magazine in the United States. This volume contains the issues for July through December 1883.
