The title page states that this is one of 300 copies, yet in fact there is a final page indicating that "500 copies for sale have been reproduced by the photo-offset process. This is Copy Number __ (left blank). To deepen the plot, there is a penciled presentation dated 7/22/35. My assumption is that there were 300 copies originally printed, and this is an early limited reprint (unnumbered for some reason) printed the same year as the original, and employing the title page and the binding from the original printing.
