Folding color map, 18 x 23 inches. Tipped into original black cloth folder, gilt- stamped cover. Spine expertly repaired. Minor tears neatly repaired. Color remains quite bright. Very good. A charming map of New York, published by the prolific cartographic firm of H.H. Lloyd & Co. Numerous ferry routes are clearly marked, as are New York's downtown piers. Of particular interest is the infant Central Park, then in the midst of construction, but still showing the reservoir and the "ramble." An excellent view of post-Civil War Gotham. Rare.
