Revised and enlarged edition, 1893. A Good copy. 8vo., 1288pp., illustrated with frontispiece and drawings in the text. Bound in painted black cloth. All edges stained red. The boards' tips are rubbed through, numerous spots and scrapes to the covers and spine. Covers and spine starting to detach. End pages are folded and creased. Dixie Cook Book sticker inside front cover. Occasional signatures and calculations. Light scattered foxing, but generally clean text. Laid in card with detailed info regarding the original owner (and signer) of this book, Martha Emmaline Shuford Hall. Mrs. Wilcox originally published her cook book as "Buckeye Cookery and Practical Housekeeping : Tried and Approved". After the publishing company was moved to Atlanta, the cookbook was released in 1885 under the title "The Dixie Cook-Book". "The New Dixie Cook-Book" was released four years later, and the revised and enlarged edition four years after that.****.
