Small 8vo. 7 x 5 inches, 572 + [ii]pp. Bound in contemporary half-calf over marbled boards, neatly lettered in gilt. Some slight foxing but a very good copy. Containing a wealth of information about the Royal Navy's ships, officers and men, the Official Admiralty Navy List was first published in 1814, prior to which David Steel had independently produced a regular Navy List. The Admiralty List very much followed the format of the later Steel's lists but was, perhaps, a little more legible.
