Item description from seller

This near fine copy is bound in illustrated cream cloth covered boards, tight, white, bright and square. The price clipped dust wrapper is in near fine condition. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. Where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased charges will be quoted. Published with the co-operation of the Gilbert White museum at Selborne this glorious evocation of the village and wildlife of the village owes a great deal to the talented artist Frederick Marns who has sketched the landscapes and buildings. There are also reproductions of engravings of birds taken from Thomas Bewick's 'British Birds' With a preface by Lord Selborne and an introduction by David Attenborough. This copy has a stamp to the f.e.p. indicating that it was bought from the home of Gilbert White the 'Wakes' in Selborne. Ref YY1.
