After graduation, he worked at Mar Ivanios College, University of Kerala as a lecturer in the Department of Physics, where he taught for more than three decades and carried out extensive research in the field of vibrational spectroscopy, including several years of studies on natural products with more than 65 research publications in reputed international journals. From 2005 to 2009, he was Professor and Head of the Postgraduate and Research Department of Physics at Mar Ivanios College, University of Kerala. From 2011, he worked as Director of Mar Baselios Institute of Technology Anchal (MBIT) for 10 years. Presently he is associated with St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Chengannur, India as Adjunct Professor and also engaged in promoting research innovations and collaborative project initiatives, supporting various projects relevant to social development through science.

During his 28 years of experience in research and extension, he published 65 research papers in national and international journals. He has developed several tools and machines for gums and resins production and processing which have been commercialized. Dr. Prasad is member of several professional societies and recipient of many awards
Prof. Dr. Seyed Ahmad Emami from the Department of Pharmacognosy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran has special expertise in pharmacognosy of medicinal plants occurring in Iran. From 1998 up to now he supervised numerous students during their academic education and he performed research projects in different fields (e.g. isolation and identification of new compounds, Traditional and Islamic Medicine, occurrence of Iranian endemic plants, study on Islamic culture and civilization). He published his results in numerous scientific articles (English and French) and in 24 books (Persian and Arabic language), respectively.
Prof. Dr. Farsad Nadjafi from the Shahid Beheshti University, Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute, in Tehran, is also managing director of the company MateriaMed GmbH in Vienna. He has many contacts to institutes working in the field of Traditional Persian Medicine and will review the relevant Persian/Arabic literature. When selecting the plant species, priority will be given to (endemic) plant species that have been more or less unknown in Western medicine up to now.
