Illus., photos, 10.5 x 8", pict color cream wraps, 72pp. Covers have light soiling, spine bumped top and bottom (which also affects pp) with small tears else very good to fine. The winner of the contest was Olaf William Shelgren, Buffalo, New York. In addition to the submissions there is an article "The Architecture Of The Small House" by Albert James. Illustrating the article are black and white photos of house with plans including two by well known Detroit architect, Roland C. Gies. Gies mainly designed residences, several in Detroit's Indian Village (George Stroh, Joseph F. Muer). Beautiful color front cover showing a two apartment house framed by a tree on either side, women and children in front. Extremely SCARCE.
