Paperback. Have you ever felt the standard fantasy RPG of "Camelot with lots of magic" was missing something? Were the monk, ninja, and samurai classes not quite enough for you?Get ready to expand your 3rd edition d20 tabletop roleplaying game like never before! The Mystic Path emulates the cinematic action and themes influenced by the Eastern martial arts, bringing all new options to the "Middle Ages standard" of d20 fantasy RPG. It was inspired by shows like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Forbidden Kingdom, as well as The Matrix and even Scott Pilgrim versus the World. It was also influenced by video games like Street Fighter and Soul Calibur, and intense anime such as Sword Art Online, Dragon Ball Z, (and especially) Bleach and Ninja Scroll. So if amazing martial arts style combat is what you've desired in your games, if you've wanted more kung-fu than Camelot, then The Mystic Path is what you've been missing!Using the mystical martial arts, your characters can now enhance their abilities with Ki Focus, and fuel their combat assaults with the power of Spirit Energy, instead of just making the same old standard attacks.Your mystic character has many options when utilizing Spirit Energy. It is possible for you to perform rapid assaults with a single action, or just make one powerful strike that sends your foes flying through walls! You can also enhance your acrobatic skills to swiftly tumble about the battlefield, or learn to teleport, envelop your weapons in elemental energy, and even launch blasts of pure ki at your foes! The Mystic Path is for use with the d20 3.5 "3.75" OGL rules, within this tome you'll find: Five all new classes: the budoka, jeunsa, kagedoka, ki disciple, and xuanzang. Each of these unique classes (known as martial mystics) gains ki powers and stances, special combat abilities and martial art styles that are fueled by Spirit Energy, allowing each class to be even more customizable and able to fill a role in any campaign! Archetype options for the standard barbarian, bard, cleric, paladin, and ranger classes. The all new Spirit Energy System-these complete rules contain all you need to run a campaign featuring the mystical martial arts! Over a hundred new feats! Amazing feats to help make your Mystic Path character anything from a powerfully focused martial artist to an adaptable wanderer or mystical sage. Along with feats and options that allow standard classes to learn how to gain Ki Focus and even use ki powers and stances! Featuring nine different schools of the Mystic Arts, with over five hundred ki powers and stances to choose from! Your character may be a master of the Empty-Hand Path, focusing on unarmed combat combined with amazing acrobatic maneuvers or perhaps a holy warrior of The Way of the Devoted, using her tie to the Spirit World and the gods to heal her allies as she also smites her enemies! However, you need not focus on just one path, for each mystic class gains access to the Dragon Spirit path and is also able to pick from multiple schools, so the combinations are nigh-endless! Hundreds of spirit items, including, unique weapons, mystic scripts, and artifacts; advice for running mystic campaigns-with conversion rules to use the psionics system as The Spirit Path. This book has everything a Game Master needs for a fully immersed mystic-themed campaign! This item is printed on demand.
