"Daniel Limmer, EMT-P," is a faculty member at the George Washington University Health Services program in Washington, DC. He has been involved in emergency services for more than twenty years as a paramedic, police officer, and educator. He is a co-author of "Emergency Care," Ninth Edition, "First Responder: A Skills Approach," Fire Service First Responder," and "Advanced Medical Life Support."
"Bob Elling, MPA, REMT-P," is currently a full-time faculty member at the Institute of Prehospital Emergency Medicine at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He is also a Professor of Management with the American College of Prehospital Medicine, and works part-time as a paramedic with the Colonie EMS Department (NY). His publications include: "Pocket Reference for the EMT-B and First Responder, First Responder. Exam Preparation and Review, Emergency Care Student Workbook," and "Paramedic Care: Principles & Practice Volume 5 Student Workbook." Bob has written hundreds of articles for magazines and internet websites as well as video scripts.
"Michael R O'Keefe, REMT-P," is Training Coordinator for the Vermont Department of Health's EMS division. He has been active as chairperson of the National Council of State EMS Training Coordinators and with the development of various national EMS curricula. He was a member of the curriculum development group for the "First Responder: National Standard Curriculum." He also is a co-author of "Emergency Care," Ninth Edition.
"Edward T. Dickinson, M.D., NREMT-P, FACEP," (Medical Editor) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine in Philadelphia wherehe is Director of EMS Field Operations. He is Medical Director of the Town of Colonie EMS Department (NY) and the Malvern Fire Company (PA). Dr. Dickinson is active in prehospital research and the medical editor of numerous Brady EMT-B and First Responder texts. He is also the author of "Fire Service Emergency Care" and co-author of "Emergency Incident Rehabilitation."
Michael O Keefe has spent decades reading and researching histories of the American West. A retired hospital administrator and CEO, he currently serves as president of the Custer Battlefield Historical & Museum Association.
"Edward T. Dickinson," MD, NREMT P, FACEP, is currently Assistant Professor and Director of EMS Field Operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He is currently Medical Director of the Malvern Fire Company, the Berwyn Fire Company, and the Township of Haverford paramedics in Pennsylvania. He is a residency-trained, board-certified emergency medicine physician who is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
He began his career in emergency services in 1979 as a firefighter-EMT in upstate New York. As a volunteer firefighter, he served as a company officer, assistant chief, and training officer. In 1985, he was the first volunteer firefighter in the United States to receive the top award for heroism from the "Firehouse Magazine" Heroism and Community Awards program in recognition of his rescue of two elderly women trapped in a house fire.
Dr. Dickinson has remained active in fire service and EMS for the past 25 years. He frequently rides with EMS units and has maintained his certification as a National Registry EMT-Paramedic. He has served as medical editor for numerous Brady EMT -B and First Responder texts and is the author of "Fire Service Emergency Care," and co-author of Emergency Care-Fire Services Edition, EMT-B textbooks.
"Michael A. Wieder, MS, CFPS, MIFireE," is the Assistant Director at Fire Protection Publications, headquarters for the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA), at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He has written or edited over two dozen books and 100 periodical articles. Mr. Wieder holds an Associate Degree in FireTechnology from Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology and a Master's Degree in Occupational and Adult Education from Oklahoma State University. A Certified Fire Protection Specialist and a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, he is a member of the National Fire Protection Association's Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications (NFPA 1001) and Fire Service Training committees, serves as secretary of the National Fire Service Incident Management System Consortium, and is IFSTA's representative to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC). He is a contributing editor to "Firehouse"(R) "Magazine" and "The Pennsylvania Fireman." He maintains a very active fire service lecture and legal consultation workload.
Mr. Wieder began his fire service career in 1979 as a volunteer firefighter with the Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, Fire Company. He also served as a volunteer and part-paid firefighter with the Stillwater, Oklahoma, Fire Department.
Bob Murray, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, and Alicia Fortinberry, M.S., a psychotherapist and movement educator, have been helping people overcome depression and build strong, healing relationships for more than 20 years. The husband-and-wife team developed the Uplift Program, which is taught at the University of South Florida and the California Institute of Integral Studies. They also consult for multinational corporations.
