Paperback. This riveting tale snaps the reader back into the exciting days of the cold war - when everything seemed at stake nearly every day. It centers around key figures who while they may have moved on in their everyday activities, their hearts and minds have never left the struggles of the Berlin Wall, the Warsaw Pact, Strategic Arms, and finally Glasnost and Perestroika. It would've been fine if it had all been left in the past, but some things can never be left in the past. Not for the people who lived through them. So it is with the mysterious Russian they called Gray Beard or sometimes Greasy Gray Beard and his partner aptly nicknamed Cary Grant. When a contact known only as Madame Butterfly puts out a kill order on a reporter, the two swing into action encountering a myriad of interesting characters along the way. The action is punctuated throughout with echoes of the complex history that was the Cold War, making Murder in Moscow more than a great read, but something you need to remember.
