The book presents a set of novel, efficient and systematic concurrent multiscale optimization methods by considering the distribution of the material in macro-scale and the unit-cell configuration parameters in micro-scale simultaneously. Because of the difference in traditional optimization method in single scale, the proposed methods could have a great deal of improvements in structure performance through the optimum configuration design of the unit-cell in micro-scale.
The proposed theory and method would be related to statics, dynamics, thermoelastic and the coupling of different physical fields. Therefore, it would provide a comprehensive designing scheme when multiple factors are taken into account. The designing scheme for aerospace would have a great significance on enhancing the structure utmost bearing capacity and anti-vibration ability etc under multiple coupling physical fields.
The important numeral examples highlighted in this unique voulme are based on the background of practical engineering and show great reference significance on product design, such as the excellent unit-cell configuration and the regularities of macro-material distribution in different boundary conditions.
