About the Authors: Muzafar A. Macha is an Assistant Professor, Ramalingaswami Re-Entry Fellow, and Head of the Watson-Crick Centre for Molecular Medicine, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Kashmir, India. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Centre (UNMC), USA, where he researched signaling pathways and therapeutic targets in head and neck and pancreatic cancers. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and received many national and international awards.

Ajaz A. Bhat is a Senior Staff Scientist at Sidra Medicine, Qatar. He earned his PhD in Vaccine Immunology from AIIMS, New Delhi, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA, where his research was focused on tight junction proteins in colorectal cancer and bile acid–induced regulation of APE1/Ref1 in esophageal cancer. His current research is on cancer genetics, drug discovery, obesity, and diabetes.

Tariq A. Masoodi is the Chief Technology Officer at Canary Oncoceutics Inc., Arizona, USA, where he specializes in both basic and clinical research, with a particular focus on uncovering multiomic biomarkers related to cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
