Not true - at least, not if you know where to look. Mr. Cheap has found hundreds of places where you can save big money on shopping, restaurants, lodging, and entertainment.
You may not know where to find Etonic running shoes for $19.99 (try VIM Jeans in Brooklyn), a good $300 computer (Crocodile Computers on the Upper West Side has a great selection of top quality used models), or designer fashions at discounts of up to 80% (S&W Clothing on Seventh Avenue), "MR. C" knows it all - as well as the best ways to enjoy theater, concerts, museums, and children's activities while hardly spending a dime.
And if you're under the mistaken impression you can't afford to eat out in the Big Apple, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Mr. Cheap tells you the best places to stuff yourself on honest-to-goodness sit-down restaurant cooking for under $10.00 -or where you can find a complete gourmet French meal for just fifteen bucks. Not to mention the places where they won't mind if you don't leave a tip!
