Do you find it hard to move from reading about moxibustion to using it confidently in practice?
The Moxa in Motion Colouring and Workbook gives you a structured, hands-on way to study, review, and practise the Ontake Method. Designed as an accompanying study guide to Moxa in Motion with the Ontake Method, this workbook helps you turn the ideas and techniques from the main book into practical clinical skills.
Published in 2019, Moxa in Motion with the Ontake Method was a deep dive into the subtle concepts and practical techniques of Japanese rhythmic moxibustion. This companion workbook supports that material with a systematic programme of study, practice, and clinical application.
The format is dynamic and varied, with learner-centred quizzes, exercises, and diagrams to colour in. It also includes previously unpublished material that expands on the main book, together with QR codes you can scan with your phone to access time-coded YouTube videos demonstrating the techniques.
Drawing on over thirty years of teaching and coaching experience, Oran Kivity has created a clear, practical vehicle for study and clinical practice, helping you begin to use effective Ontake moxibustion quickly and confidently.
You will learn:
- Dr Manaka’s meridian frequencies and how to apply them
- Branch treatments for symptom relief
- Root treatments for whole-body regulation
- The integration of Dr Tan’s holographic models with Ontake for the rapid relief of pain in the neck, back, and joints
The Moxa in Motion Colouring and Workbook is written for readers who want a structured, hands-on way to study and practise Japanese moxibustion with the Ontake Method. Whether you are working through the main Moxa in Motion book for the first time or returning to deepen your clinical skills, this workbook offers a clear and accessible path from reading to practice.
Oran Kivity is a British acupuncturist, author, and international trainer with over three decades of clinical experience. He is the developer of the Ontake Method and the author of several books on Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion. He lives in Taiwan, where he continues to practise, write, and teach.
