- Book 2 of 6: The Mouse in the Hammock
A Christian Parable teaching children about friendship and SIMPLY BEING FRIENDLY.
In this, the second book in the Mouse in the Hammock series, Mouse teaches us that the best way to have friends isn’t elaborate and expensive gifts. The best way to have friends is to simply be friendly.
In this clever tale, Mouse uses trinkets and trash from the children’s room to show them how much he cares about them. From toy cars, frogs, rockets, and googly eyes, Mouse creatively shows his friends that he loves them. But what can they give in return? Their hearts!
LITTLE acts of friendship make a BIG difference.
BOOK EXCERPT:
On the fifth day of February,
I find an old stuffed monkey.
Hmm...what can I
do with this?
I wonder.
Ook, hoo, hoo, hoo!
I KNOW!
And I attach it to Monkey’s toe.
Tag reads: “I like
hanging
with you!”
In the spirit of friendship and love, a portion of the proceeds from all Mouse in the Hammock books and Christmas ornaments are donated to children in need.
Over $10,000 USD donated so far to Maison des Enfant de Dieu (House of the Children of the Lord), an orphanage in Haiti
BOOK EXCERPT:
Mouse is on a mission to teach you that, even though you are LITTLE, you
can make a BIG impact on the lives of children all over the world.
By simply buying this book, you have given a donation to Lekol Lespwa,
a school in Haiti that teaches over 40 children aged four to 18.
Thanks to your contribution, these children can study math, reading,
science, as well as the Bible, in a safe learning environment.
We believe that education plays an important role in breaking the cycle of poverty, and for
this reason, a portion of all the Mouse in the Hammock book sales goes to them. Just $1000
can fund this school for an entire month.
Thank you for being such a great friend to Mouse and the children of Haiti by buying this
book and sharing it with your friends.
The Mouse in the Hammock, a Valentine’s Tale is the second book in the series. Each book from the series teaches a Christian lesson based on biblical principles. The Author, Bethany Brevard, isn’t a theologian or a biblical expert. She’s just a mom who felt like the holiness of the holidays was slowly being stripped away and if a little mouse could help to bring Christ back into Christmas, then surely, she could bring Christ back into Easter (forgiveness) and even the not so holy holidays of Valentine’s (love & friendship), Thanksgiving (gratitude) and even Halloween (light in the darkness)!
The Mouse in the Hammock, a Valentine’s Tale is a perfect companion to your kid's library along with titles such as: I Love You Like No Otter, I'll Love You Till the Cows Come Home, Llama Llama I Love You, Little Blue Truck's Valentine, I Love You, Little Pookie, Mr. Goat's Valentine, I Love You to the Moon And Back, How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?, Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse!, Pete the Kitty: I Love Pete the Kitty, Love from The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Kids ages: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
