A Christian Parable teaching children how Small Acts of Kindness can make a BIG impact.

In this Award-Winning book, the first in the Mouse in the Hammock series, a little mouse who sleeps in a Christmas Tree hammock, scurries around the house at night doing good deeds to prepare the house for Christmas.

What good deeds can someone so little do? Tucking Baby Jesus into the manger, cooling off the hot cocoa for Santa, taste-testing the cookies, and hanging the mistletoe are just a few.

In this funny and heartwarming story, Mouse is setting the example for children and adults alike, that you don’t have to be big to do kind deeds and help others, little things make a BIG difference.

BOOK EXCERPT:

Christmas is coming!

No time to dilly-dally!

All the grownups are busy taking care of the BIG things:

the parties, the food, the presents.

But who will take care of the little things?

Why, someone very little, of course!

The Mouse in the Hammock!

Based on the Brevard Family’s bedtime story they told their kids when they were little, we get to see how little things can make a big impact. And with that spirit in mind, a portion of the proceeds from all Mouse in the Hammock books and ornaments are donated to children in need.

Over $10,000 USD donated so far to Maison des Enfant de Dieu (House of the Children of the Lord), an orphanage in Haiti.

BOOK EXCERPT:

Did you know that little things can make a BIG difference?

We truly believe that!

You might not realize it, but by simply buying this book you have done something BIG.

You have made a BIG difference to the children from the Maison des Enfant de Dieu (House of the Children of the Lord), an orphanage in Haiti that is home to over 60 children who have, sadly, lost everything. We believe that every child needs a safe place to sleep and an education so a portion of the proceeds from your book purchase goes to them.

The Mouse in the Hammock, a Christmas Tale is available with an accompanying Mouse in the Hammock Christmas ornament for your tree. Also sold on Amazon, this ornament is a felted hammock and little mouse that arrives sewn into the hammock but can be removed if you would like a similar experience to Elf on the Shelf, The Shepherd on the Search, The Giving Manger, Santa's Lazy Gnome, Reindeer In Here, North Pole Ninjas, Star From Afar, Angel on Assignment, and The Story of Funukkah.

We’re asked often – Do I have to move this thing around every night? Well, the story is loosely written, so that if you decided that you do not want the burden of “moving” your mouse around, the mouse can sleep in his hammock all day long. Or if you decide you want to move your mouse, you can simply pile up the toys, put your Mouse on top of the pile, and tell the kids, “Look Cole, Mouse collected your toys, now please take them to your room!” (True story from the Brevard household.)
