THE TIME FOR MOTIVATION IS NOW! Are you tired of drifting? Tired of talking? Tired of waiting? Tired of telling yourself, “Someday I’ll finally do it”? Good. Because SOMEDAY is NOT a plan. HOPE is NOT a strategy. WISHING is NOT movement. And MOTIVATION WITHOUT ACTION is just another IDEA SITTING ON THE SHELF collecting dust. That's not you ... ANYMORE!
Motivate Yourself To Succeed by Bart Smith is not your typical soft, sleepy, feel-good motivation book where you hope you can relate to the author. No. This book is a wake-up call. It’s a push. It’s a shove. It’s a whistle blowing at the starting line. It’s that voice in your ear saying, “C'mon, let's go. Time to get moving. You’ve got something (important) to do.”
Written by Bart Smith, author of 35+ books, self-employed since 1992, a relentless self-marketer, a content creator beyond beyond, former seven-year running back, and two-time Illinois state champion hurdler, this book comes loaded with straight-talking motivational wisdom, action-oriented steps, real-world advice, and practical self-talk to help you turn your personal dreams, business ideas, creative goals, career ambitions, fitness objectives, financial targets, and life visions into something real, something reachable, and something you can go after with absolute vengeance.
Some readers feel they have to “relate” to an author before they learn from one. They may even feel uncomfortable when an author shares wins, accomplishments, and hard-earned success as part of where his motivation comes from. Bart sees it differently. When you want to motivate yourself to succeed, you don't want someone standing right next to you in the same mud puddle. You need someone who's ahead of you, who's been hit, tackled, challenged, knocked around, forced over hurdle after hurdle, and STILL kept going. You need someone who can take you where you want to go, not where you are right now. Why?
Because motivation is not about sitting around relating to weakness, failure or stagnation. It’s about learning from strength and those who have gone where you haven't. Someone who can help you grow, become stronger and wiser and (all that) at the same time! It’s about studying someone who has already felt the pressure, taken the hits, made the mistakes, crossed hundreds of finish lines, written 35+ books, and lived to tell you what it takes to keep going and WIN and on your own terms! THAT is the ENERGY behind THIS BOOK.
Bart shares his business, creative, and personal experiences not to make anyone feel unrelatable, but to remind you that greatness is built by people like you who decide to take action instead of complain, drift, delay, or wait for life to hand them their dreams on a silver platter. As a former running back, he learned what it means to carry the ball while people were trying to stop him, put him down, distract or discourage him from going after what he wanted. As a champion hurdler, he learned that obstacles are a part of life, and that you can overcome them if you know how, practice and persist. They are just part of the race called life. As an entrepreneur and author, he learned that dreams do not build themselves. You build them with plans, pressure to succeed, persistence, and hard work. That’s what this book is about and nothing else.
So, inside Motivate Yourself To Succeed, you’ll learn Bart's 10 key components:
#1 ASSESS your current situation.
#2 VISUALIZE what you want to accomplish.
#3 PLAN your success.
#4 WORK your plan toward your goal.
#5 OVERCOME obstacles and naysayers.
#6 OBSERVE what’s working and what’s not.
#7 PERSIST because you’re almost there.
#8 MEASURE your progress.
#9 CLAIM victory when you reach the finish line.
#10 ASK, “What’s next?”
This updated edition also includes a section on using AI and ChatGPT as modern motivation tools. That’s right! AI has entered the motivation arena.
