El profesor Bacterio ha inventado un aparato capaz de enviar a las personas al siglo XXI y regresar.
La T.I.A. quiere enviar a algún agente a recorrer el siglo XXI para que cuando regrese cuente lo que ha visto. El Superintendente decide que Mortadelo y Filemón serán los encargados de probar el invento.
Por equivocación Bacterio y Ofelia se van con ellos. Pero el invento sale mal y en vez de ir al siglo XXI van a principios del siglo XX.
Mortadelo, Filemón, Ofelia y Bacterio recorrerán todo el siglo XX donde vivirán aventuras y situaciones cómicas, como el hundimiento del Titanic, las Guerras Mundiales o la Guerra Civil Española.
Finalmente son rescatados por el Súper, el cual, enfadado por el error del invento del Bacterio, envía a este a trabajar en un despacho en las cloacas.

Sobre la colección:
La colección «Magos del Humor» nació en la editorial Bruguera en el año 1984 recuperando títulos que ya habían sido publicados en su antecesora «Ases del Humor» (1969). Debido al cierre de Bruguera en 1986, en esta etapa solo llegaron a ver la luz los primeros 12 volúmenes de la serie, pero en 1987 Ediciones B retomó la publicación de la colección desde su primer número hasta la actualidad.
«Magos del Humor», con su formato coleccionista en tapa dura de 210 x 290 mm, es la colección en la que aparecen por primera vez las aventuras inéditas de Mortadelo y Filemón y de Superlópez, aunque también puede encontrarse material de grandes personajes de Bruguera como Zipi y Zape de Escobar, 13, Rue del Percebe, Pepe Gotera y Otilio, El botones Sacarino, La familia Trapisonda y Rompetechos de Ibáñez, Los cuentos de tío Vázquez o La familia Cebolleta de Manuel Vázquez, entre otros.
Francisco Ibáñez (Barcelona, 15 de marzo de 1936 - Barcelona, 15 de julio de 2023) es, sin lugar a dudas, nuestro autor de cómic más reconocido nacional e internacionalmente. El 20 de enero de 1958 aparece la primera historieta de Mortadelo y Filemón en el número 1394 de la revista Pulgarcito, de la editorial Bruguera. A partir de aquí Ibáñez crea sus mejores series y personajes: «Mortadelo y Filemón», «La familia Trapisonda», «13, Rue del Percebe», «El botones Sacarino», «Rompetechos» y «Pepe Gotera y Otilio». Es el dibujante más prolifero, acumulando unas 20.000 páginas dibujadas a lo largo de su vida profesional, y Mortadelo y Filemón es la serie más longeva del cómic español, con más de 65 años de historia.
En los años 1969, 1974, 1975 y 1976 recibe el premio Aro de Oro a los personajes infantiles más populares del año por Mortadelo y Filemón. En 1994 se le otorga el Gran Premio del Salón del Cómic al conjunto de su obra, en 2002 se le concede la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes 2001 y en 2022 la Generalitat le otorga la Creu de Sant Jordi.
El Tesorero y ¡Elecciones! han sido dos de los mayores éxitos de la carrera de Francisco Ibáñez.
En 2017 publica ¡Miseria, la Bacteria!, donde el autor crea un nuevo personaje, la mujer del Profesor Bacterio, y Drones Matones, en el que las nuevas tecnologías llegan a la T.I.A.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Grand Eagle Retail, Grand Eagle Retail c/o Kable Product Services, 4275 Thunderbird Lane, 45014-45, Fairfield, Ohio, U.S.A., 1 (302) 261-2674, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
