Classic collection of poems published in Brisbane in 1890; Mary Hannay Foott was best known for her poem Where the Pelican Builds; her first collection of poems was published in 1885 - 'Morna Lee and other poems' is here designated as the 'second edition', but this refers to it being an expanded edition of 'Where the Pelican Builds and other poems', ie the complete text of 'Morna Lee and other poems' does not exist in a previous edition (all editions on Trove are also stated 2nd Ed.); nice blue cloth boards with gilt titling to spine and red borders and decorations to front board; ornate title page; label ghost to front endpaper, o.w.
