Print on Demand. This book, written by an unknown author during the 19th century, examines the origins and doctrines of Mormonism, which emerged at a time when religious innovation and spiritualism were growing. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the Latter Day Saints' beliefs and practices, dissecting their claims to divine authority and direct revelation by exploring the theological concepts, historical context, and social implications of the movement. The author argues that, despite its claims to the contrary, Mormonism is not a unique religion, but rather a combination of recycled heresies and innovations that seek to adapt to the changing religious landscape of the time. This book challenges the validity of Mormonism's central tenets, including the Book of Mormon's authenticity, the practice of polygamy, and the doctrine of continuous revelation. Through meticulous examination and logical reasoning, the author aims to provide readers with a deeper understanding of this controversial faith's historical and doctrinal underpinnings. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

The innovations of schismatics, the corruptions of heretics, and the imitations of the heathen, form a complete collateral history, in regard to chronological dates, with the successive developments of Divine truth by revelation.
It is unnecessary to draw this parallel, or to produce facts in corroboration of the statement, because it is evident to every reader of history.
